Dr. Joy Salumbides
Dr. Joy Salumbides grew up in Virginia Beach, VA. She attended Virginia Commonwealth University where she earned both her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree at the School of Dentistry, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Dr. Salumbides furthered her dental education and completed a one year General Practice Residency in York Hospital, south central Pennsylvania. Her advanced training focused on comprehensive and holistic treatment of patients of all ages, complex restorative dentistry, and emergency dentistry. There she gained an interest in treating children and special needs patients.
Dr. Salumbides enjoys family and cosmetic dentistry and values patient education and prevention in order to maintain good oral health. She believes dentistry is a service for others and actively volunteers at the Northern Virginia Dental Clinic and various Mission of Mercy Dental Projects throughout Virginia.
Living in Northern VA, Dr. Salumbides embraces the culture, food, and the arts the area has to offer. She and her husband share a growing bucket list for travel and the hottest new restaurants in DC to try. She looks forward to time at the gym and treasures photography. My favorite subjects to shoot are my family and friends, and I carry the philosophy with me to treat all patients as if they were family.
