At Vienna Smiles, we are passionate about providing high quality dentistry to people in and around our city. We also know that our duty to care for our community’s oral health and wellness reaches beyond our patients who can pay for services. That’s why each year, your dentist in Vienna looks forward to hosting the Dentistry From the Heart event — a day when we get to give back to the community that’s been so wonderful to us.
Dentistry From the Heart 2017
This year’s Dentistry From the Heart event will be held on Saturday, September 16 from 8 am to 3 pm. That’s just a few weeks away!
At the event, patients 18 and older who would not be able to receive dental care elsewhere can choose from one of three services: a filling, cleaning, or extraction. Registration begins at 7:30. We encourage people to arrive early, because care is provided on a first come, first served basis.
Each year, we provide much-needed care to dozens of patients. Last year more than 100 people were able to receive dental treatment that may not have been possible otherwise. We look forward to serving even more smiles in 2017!
Because of space limitations and the large number of people we expect to show up, we encourage people participating in Dentistry From the Heart to bring a chair to sit in and blankets, coats, and jackets to keep warm while you’re waiting outside.
The Importance of a Healthy Smile
Estimates say that some 100 million Americans avoid the dental care they need because they simply can’t afford it. Unfortunately, this lack of attention can have far-reaching consequences. An aching tooth makes it difficult to perform well at work and in school, and it’s difficult to eat and maintain proper nutrition if you’re missing teeth. In the worst cases, a lack of routine dental care can lead to premature death — an aching, infected tooth may have an infection that can quickly spread to the brain.
We’re working to help more people in our community receive the dental care they need through our Dentistry From the Heart event. Fillings arrest decay before a toothache becomes painful. Extraction removes the problems and prevents infection from spreading throughout the body. A preventive cleaning can help you avoid the need for either service altogether.
Our team wants everyone in and around Vienna to be able to smile for life — so come see us this year if you’re in need of dental care!
